Results of Xmas Cracker held at Ogbourne Downs on 28 th December 2007

• 26 Society members and guests played a singles stableford competition over 18 holes at Ogbourne Downs Golf Club – playing off full handicap
• Weather conditions were dry and breezy to start with, but rain gradually moved in during the latter part of the competition.

The Winners were:

• First Place – with 35 points – Matthew Tester

• Second Place – with 32 points – Clive Glass

• Third Place – with 31 points on countback – Isobel Henry

• Fourth Place – with 31 points on countback – Mel Evans

• Nearest the pin on the 4 th – Nick Ballard

• Best guest score – with 29 points – Dean Evans

Results of Autumn Golf Day - Deanwood Park Golf Club on 29 th Sep 2007

• 11 Society members played a 4 ball better ball stableford competition over 18 holes at Deanwood Park Golf Club – playing off full handicap
• Whilst the day started very wet, dry conditions and sunshine eventually prevailed

The Winners were:

• First Place – with 57 points – David Leake and Chris Goddard

• Second Place – with 53 points – Clive Adolph and William Dale Harris

• Best overall individual points score – Clive Adolph with 50 points

• Nearest the pin on the 5 th – Malcolm McFee

Results of Presidents Prize competition held at W Berks Golf Club on 24th July 07

• 36 Society members in 9 teams of 4 played in a Texas Scramble competition over 18 holes at West Berks Golf Club – playing off full handicap
• Dry conditions were enjoyed by all and the course was in good condition despite the considerable rain of late

The Winners were:

• First Place – with 61.5 points – Team 3 = Wendy Lappin, Mel Evans, William Dale- Harris and John Harrod

• Second Place – with 63.8 points – Team 7 = Sachiko Yoshioka, Neil Jordan, John Lawson and Bob Osmond

• Third Place – with 64.9 points – Team 9 = Kirsty Wilson, Ros Hetherington, Roy Storm and Guy Piercy

Results of Tidworth Stableford competition held at Tidworth GC on 24th May 2007

• 17 members and 2 guests played in an individual stableford competition over 18 holes at Tidworth GC - playing off full handicap.

• Good course conditions were enjoyed by all, unless you strayed into the trees/rough. The fine weather was in marked contrast to the 2 inches of snow when we previously tried to play there in March.

Results of Ramsbury Trophy competition held at Marlborough GC on 7/5/ 2007

• 42 members participated in an individual stableford competition over 18 holes at Marlborough Golf Club, playing off full handicap. The competition comprised of 3 categories – Ladies, Gents and Juniors – with prizes in each

• Weather was mixed with a high wind throughout the day from the west. After initial rainy squalls, this was replaced with blue sky and sunshine.

• Course conditions were good despite little rain over the last month and all main greens were in play

• weather whilst cloudy was dry, albeit the high wind from the SW proved to be quite a challenge
